- TIME MAKES FOOLS -
In the storm we waited it out
To see if it would clear
But the weather was so hard back then
It stuck with us for years
When the past seemed short
With the windows rolled all the way down
You thought the world was yours
Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
When the snow shut the highway down
But we kept moving forward
And in the hours as it all played out
The sky would lift and clear
And all the weight that you shouldered
And if the grass looks greener now
It’s just that winter is over
Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
Yeah, Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
My heart was broken for years
Left with no way to thrive
Rooms were small
We all shared beds
But it kept us alive
And when disease came to steal you
I shaved my head and mourned
Out of grief and tragedy and hardship
A baby child was born
Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
Yeah, Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
I pined and prayed
I thought that love would save me
And in my darkest hour
There was no way out
For myself
And, Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now
Time makes fools of us all and I’m feeling it now

- HEARTLESS -
How was I to ever know it’d get so bad
Run around heartless
Run around heartless
Tried to make it to the coast when I moved out West
Ran around angry
Ran around angry
I remember the flames in the grass how they danced in the light
Yeah as the fire swept across the prairie it was only her and I
It was so cold leaving the comfort of my Missouri home
And my childhood left me so broken I didn’t know
I’m coming out even
We’re coming out even
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
I don’t recall all the things in the throws of the night
Never occurred to me
Always just hurt me
Now don’t be appalled with the fall it didn’t hurt that bad
I’ve hit the ground harder
I’ve hit the ground harder
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
Ooooh ohh
Ooooh ohh
I want to feel something honey
Yeah I want to feel something good
Now everything’s there if we want it
And damn baby, and it should
I run around tender
I run around tender
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
Whoo whoo ooooh ohh
Ooooh ohh
Ooooh ohh

Country music star, and Grammy Award Nominee, Tyler Childers, is bringing his "Mule Pull 24" tour to the Big Sky State, and you're invited.
Tyler Childers is a pretty big deal, even if you're not a huge country or bluegrass fan. If you're still unfamiliar just pretend you're scrolling through your social feed and you hear these lyrics:
"I don't need the laws of man to tell me what I ought to do..."
The tall kid from Kentucky with a voice like something out of a 1930s Memorial Day picnic concert in a small southern town. Over the years Tyler has risen to music fame with his unique vocal styling and bluegrass style, and now he's bringing that style to Missoula with some very special guests.
The Tyler Childers Mule Pull '24 Tour will be featuring Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats!
When: Saturday, August 24th, 2024
Where: Washington-Grizzly Stadium, Missoula Montana
Pairing up with Nathaniel Rateliff is a huge move. He's definitely a Missoula favorite. Another cool thing is that $1 from every ticket sold will be going to the Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund.
Even though this show is almost a year out, if they booked the stadium they are planning for a sold-out show, so don't delay.
Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will also be joining Tyler Childers at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA on August 23, 2024.

The highly anticipated return of Nathaniel Rateliff’s ‘And It’s Still Alright‘ Solo Tour with very special guest Kevin Morby is almost sold out, get tickets while you can!
It’s not every day that a lead foot will land you in the slammer, but a singer and songwriter on his way to a Raleigh concert may have pushed the pedal a little too close to the metal Wednesday (09/27/23) night when he was arrested for speeding in Morganton.
Nathaniel Rateliff was driving down Interstate 40 when a state trooper clocked him going around 84 mph in a 65 mph zone and initiated a traffic stop. While that traffic stop was underway, another trooper continued down I-40 before pulling over about a mile down the road.
Rateliff was issued a citation for speeding from the first traffic stop and released, but when he got about a mile down the road to the other trooper’s post, he was again seen traveling about 84 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The second trooper pulled Rateliff over and confirmed it was the same driver from the first traffic stop. This time, though, Rateliff found himself in handcuffs and on his way to the Burke County Jail where he was held under a $500 bond for speeding.
Rateliff, who was on his way to Raleigh for a show with his band, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, ended up staying in custody for a few hours.
Rateliff told concertgoers he almost missed the show because of his time behind bars, he was short about $120 cash to bail himself out and recalled having to strip down and dawn a black and white striped jumpsuit. S.O.B.

After a three year hiatus Nathaniel Rateliff is relaunching his ‘And It’s Still Alright’ solo tour.
On March 2nd, 2020 in Minneapolis, MN., Nathaniel Rateliff kicked off his highly anticipated tour supporting And It’s Still Alright, the singer-songwriter’s acclaimed new solo album which had just been released. Nine days later everything changed—the pandemic hit, and the sold-out nine-month run was cancelled.
The ‘And It’s Still Alright Tour’ shows will spotlight rateliff’s catalog of solo-albums, encompassing warm, stripped-back moments to a full 10-piece folk band accompaniment including a string quartet.

A fittingly diverse group of musicians will honor the late Leon Russell with a new tribute album, A Song For Leon. Out September 8th via Primary Wave Music, the album features contributions from musicians spanning country, funk, folk, indie-rock, and more, all paying homage to the late songwriter and pianist.
In a telling display of the influence of Russell—who died in 2016 at the age of 74 with at least 31 albums and 430 songs recorded —his tribute album hosts contributions from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, U.S. Girls with Bootsy Collins, Margo Price, Orville Peck, Pixies, Hiss Holden Messenger, Durand Jones & The Indications, Monica Martin, Bret McKenzie with The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and a trio of Tina Rose, Amy Nelson, and Jason Hill.
“Mr. Russell was a musician’s musician,” Collins said. “He came in through the back door and made his way to the front of the stage. His songwriting had meaning and a way of touching people that were going through things in life. I admired his talent, his steadfastness & commitment to being and doing what he set out to do. He expressed himself as only he could. I am proud to be a part of this tribute to him.”
